Katie Green
Katie is an Associate Technical Consultant in Engineering in the Product Design Centre at NWRC’s Greystone campus. She has recently joined the Product Design Centre after graduating from Northumbria University with a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering.
Katie is responsible with the oversight and utilisation of various pieces of equipment within the Product Design Centre, including CNC machinery, laser cutters, vacuum forming machines, large-scale vinyl printers, as well as FDM, SLA and SLS 3D printers. Additionally, she assumes administrative responsibilities associated with the Product Design Centre.
Katie has previous work experience in additive manufacturing, specialising in FDM printing. She is eager to enhance her proficiency in CAD modelling, utilizing software such as Solidworks and Fusion 360, while also actively pursuing further expertise in digital fabrication equipment. Katie is highly motivated to expand her skill set and gain experience in various domains.
