Christina Perry
Christina is the Technical Consultant for Food Technology in the Business Support Centre in the NWRC’s Foodovation Centre. She is responsible for developing relationships with local food businesses and entrepreneurs identifying their requirements for business support from Foodovation. Her role involves engaging in innovation and technical projects, supporting all aspects of product development from recipe development, product testing and through to packaging and labelling requirements bringing product ideas to market.
Christina gained her BSc (Hons) Food & Nutrition and completed a Diploma in Industrial Studies from University of Ulster and gained MSc Food Science (1st) from London Metropolitan University.
She is a successful NPD professional with over 10 years’ experience in NPD with leading food manufacturers across Ireland & UK, having worked across technical, process and NPD roles with UK retailers in both branded and private label products. Christina has detailed knowledge of the product development process from concept to launch and has experience across various products such as yogurt, fromage frais, cheesecake, dairy desserts, confectionary sauces, granola, chocolate, ice-cream, gelato, cream liqueur, and other alcoholic beverages. Within her career she has launched more than 100 products both for key brands & retail own label.
