Clara Brogan
Clara serves as the Technical Consultant for Food Technology at the Business Support Centre within NWRC’s Foodovation Centre. In this role, she focuses on building strong connections with local food businesses and entrepreneurs, understanding their unique needs, and offering customised support utilising Foodovation’s resources. Her responsibilities span a variety of tasks, from participating in innovative technical projects to assisting throughout all phases of product development.
Clara holds a BSc (Hons) in Food Technology from CAFRE, Loughry College, with a Diploma in Industrial Studies. Her career spans experience in sectors such as red meat, pastry, ice cream wafers, and confectionery. Clara has a strong quality and technical background, having collaborated with leading retailers on innovative projects from concept to launch.
Her expertise also includes managing third-party audits, such as BRC, SALSA, and customer-specific audits, contributing to a well-rounded understanding of food production and quality standards. Clara also has a good eye for identifying areas for improvement and driving operational efficiency through training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
