Greg Mitchell Motors is an independent car dealership established in 2006. They are a MG & Suzuki Dealership based in Victoria Bridge, Strabane. They have a wide range of quality Used Cars and Light Commercial Vehicles including 4x4s ranging from Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Toyota and Land Rover. They also offer various finance deals and provide a fully comprehensive after sales service with a team of dedicated technicians.
The motor industry is very competitive and fast changing in terms of new technologies therefore their staff needed to update their motor skills to include new technologies.
The company initially upskilled 4 members of staff of whom undertook an IMI Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicles Routine Maintenances Activities course and they continue to enrol staff who are available to do this on a regular basis in a means of continuous improvement.
By undertaking this course, the learners achieved the knowledge required to work safely around a vehicle’s hybrid system, whilst carrying out repairs or maintenance and knowledge of high voltage hybrid technologies and an understanding of their dangers. Many of the staff progressed to the higher-level qualification (Level 3) in this area which gives the company a competitive edge over other car dealers.
