JCM Training Services offers First Aid and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) courses that enables employers, employees and contractors to meet their obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations (GB) 1981 and the Manual Handling Regulations 1992.

Challenge
The company wanted to develop a unique training programme in the form of a virtual first aid training simulation.
Solution
In order to overcome this obstacle, JCM made contact with North West Regional College (NWRC) Business Support Centre (BSC) who supported them through the InnovateUs programme which is funded by the Department for the Economy.
This provided 60 hours of 1:1 mentoring support from NWRC Creative and Digital Media Consultant, Aaron McKeever, who provided upskilling in planning and storyboarding a virtual reality project, interactions for virtual reality, sizing the elements of a virtual reality scene and methods of monetizing for a virtual reality application.
Impact
On completion of the project, the company successfully developed a virtual first aid training simulation which provides guidance and visual instruction prompting users to identify safety hazards and demonstrate proper resuscitation.
