Company background
Nuprint Technologies is a label printing company based in the North West. Nuprint currently operates across a range of sectors including the food, drink, clothing and pharmaceutical industries. They work with customers across the world, offering new concepts and ideas in image creation, design and brand enhancement.
The company have to date strategically focused on the application of lean, however, at ground level the company would like to educate and ensure all team members take accountability for lean within their own area.
Nuprint decided to up-skill eight members of the production team to raise the skills set and level of awareness in lean manufacturing. Thanks to funding from the Department for Employment and Learning’s Skills Focus Customised Training programme, Nuprint Technologies benefitted from an accredited qualification of Level 2 NVQ in Business Improvement Techniques to support the company with their manufacturing processes.
The upskilling of the eight members of staff has supported them with the development of lean across the business and instilled the principles from the bottom up.
