Company background

Socialscript can be the self-care brand the UK and Ireland needs for marketing the self-care concept. Its app aims to align with key health policies over the next 5 to 10 years. The key policy for Northern Ireland is This app will aim to address the 7 pillars of self-care, especially health literacy. The app would be installed initially in NI within the community, with a potential rollout across the rest of the UK and Ireland in the coming years. The app will be user friendly that all patients can use to help them feel better supported and connected to resources within their community.

Challenge

To create an app that is convenient for patients to avail of health consultations and referrals. The company want the app to cross-over organisational boundaries to form a multi-disciplinary service giving patients mental and physical health advice.

Solution

To assist with the development of their concept, Socialscript were supported by North West Regional College (NWRC) Business Support Centre (BSC) through the InnovateUs programme which is funded by the Department for the Economy.

NWRC Creative & Digital Media Technical Consultant, Aaron McKeever, provided 30 hours of upskilling support in concept design and walkthroughs, creating components to be used for visual demonstration, using Invision prototyping tools and reviewing final prototype designs.

Impact

On completion of the project the company was able to successfully develop a visual prototype of their Socialscript app which will be used for audience testing in the future.
