Gemma McCollum

Gemma is the Technical Consultant for Food Technology at NWRC’s Foodovation Centre. Her role involves engaging and supporting companies in the areas of product innovation, product development and technical support to assist businesses in turning their ideas to market ready products.

Gemma completed her BSc (Hons) Degree in Food Technology with a Diploma in Industrial Studies at CAFRE Loughry and gained a Graduate Certificate in Business Communication for Rural Enterprise from Queens University Belfast.

She has worked within the food industry since graduating and has gained a wealth of knowledge within the Red Meat sector. Gemma has a strong technical background, supervising food safety and quality compliance within a busy factory setting. She has been involved with the launch of many added value product ranges into large UK retailers.
