INCISIV Ltd

INCISIV Ltd

Company background:

INCISIV is a neurotechnology startup who develop VR-enabled solutions to help people perform at their best. Whether it be a budding young goalkeeper trying to get that extra 1% to pull off a match winning save (CleanSheet) or an elite ice-hockey player trying to return to competition following a head injury (MOViR), INCISIV’s VR technologies are bringing benefits to the wider world of sport, health and well-being.

Challenge:

INCISIV identified an opportunity to further enhance their CleanSheet (VR) goalkeeping technology by creating more complex footballing scenarios e.g. 3-4 passes then a shot. The challenge was needing lots more motion capture to achieve this.

Solution:

To assist and make their idea a reality, INCISIV Ltd contacted the NWRC XR Hub team who supported them through the InnovateUs programme which is funded by Department for the Economy.

NWRC Virtual & Augmented Reality Technical Consultant, Emma Robinson, provided 60 hours of upskilling support in their Xsens Motion Capture technology. This included Xsens Research, Xsens On-Premises Set Up, Xsens Upskilling and Training.

Impact:

The company was able to successfully use motion capture technology to diversify their content and set themselves apart from their competitors. This will in turn lead to more sales, increased profitability and will allow INCISIV to grow their team (i.e. create more jobs).

James Stafford, PHD Business Development Lead at INCISIV Ltd described the benefits of working with NWRC’s XR Hub via the Department for the Economy InnovateUs Programme:

‘’As a participant in the InnovateUs Program through North West Regional College, I am thrilled to say that the access to ground-breaking technology provided by the program has allowed us to innovate faster and more efficiently. Our workflows have been significantly sped up, and we have been able to take on more complex projects with ease. Thanks to this collaboration, we have been able to stay ahead of the curve and deliver exceptional results.’’
