Deluxe Tours and Travel is a local chauffeuring company based in Derry ~ Londonderry, which offers luxury Tours and Transfers at affordable prices throughout the Isle of Ireland. It prides itself on being able to provide the very best in transport with safety, comfort, punctuality and customer service at its helm.
The company wanted to create an audio-based package using pre-recorded narration, interviews and sound effects which could be used as audio tours which would be played through the speakers in the car and be automatically triggered using an existing GPS system based on location. The package would tell historic stories in an entertaining and creative way to keep the listeners attention.
To assist with the development of their concept, Deluxe Tours & Travel was supported by North West Regional College (NWRC) Business Support Centre (BSC) through the InnovateUs programme which is funded by the Department for the Economy.
NWRC Creative & Digital Media Technical Consultant, Aaron McKeever, provided 50 hours of upskilling support in concepts and storyboarding, using Pro Tools, understanding basic controls, creating a first session, making an audio recording, importing and working with music, SFX and media, selecting and navigating, editing media, mixing and finishing the project, optimization and exporting.
On completion of the project the company was able to develop an audio package for its luxury tour and travel business.
