NWRC are now recruiting individuals to undertake a fully funded accredited Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Academy through the Enhanced Investment Zone (EIZ) Inclusive Edge programme supported by the Department for the Economy (DfE)

This 12-week Academy will take place 2 days per week from 16th November (Monday & Thursday), combining practical skills development with industry insight and career support.

The programme will cover digital design, CAD, prototype development, digital manufacturing technologies, Industry 4.0 awareness, sustainability, employer engagement and progression planning.

EIZ Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Academy

Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in confidence-building workshops, specialist masterclasses and employer visits, providing valuable insight into the sector and helping to build the skills and confidence needed for future progression.

This programme is designed for adults who are currently economically inactive or underrepresented in the sector and who may need structured support to re-engage with learning, develop new skills and explore pathways into employment.

Eligibility

The EIZ Inclusive Edge programme will be accessible to underrepresented groups, those aged 18 years and older including female returners, females into leadership, neurodivergent individuals, and those with additional obstacles to learning and employment. The programme will seek to encourage participants from various socio-economic, academic and non-academic backgrounds. In addition to any stipulated entry.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Applicants to be 18 years or older at point of enrolment.
  • Applicants must have a right to work and undertake training in the UK at the point of application and for the duration of the course and must not be disqualified from doing either by reason of their immigration status. Proof of this will be required to progress application.
  • Individuals will be available to register in person at provider campus as required.
  • Participants should be best placed to achieve the programmes required outcome. It will be for The Provider to assess the individual’s ability to manage workload to complete and achieve.
