Access a comprehensive 12 or 18-month support package valued up to €67,900. This includes new product or service development, process enhancement and mentorship by our NWRC Innovation Centre team and an InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Consultant.

To be eligible for financial support through Innovation Boost, your business must:

  • Be a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) employing between 5 and 249 full-time staff
  • Operate as a manufacturing or tradable services company located anywhere on the island of Ireland (North or South)
  • Be financially viable
  • Have a minimum trading history of two years
  • Demonstrate an understanding of, and capacity for, innovation
  • Show a clear need for Innovation Boost technical support
  • Demonstrate the capacity and commitment at senior management level to support and deliver an Innovation Boost project

Support available through Innovation Boost

  • Access up to £56,000 / €67,900 in funding to work with an academic expert
  • Receive 50% funding support towards the cost of employing a project manager (up to the maximum eligible amount)
  • Develop new or enhance existing products and services
  • Improve business processes to boost efficiency and performance
  • Strengthen capabilities in innovation, design, and technology
  • Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs and drive sales growth
