04 Oct: Barry Electronics develops unique shipping control interface with help of NWRC and InterTradeIreland

Killybegs-based marine- electronics company Barry Electronics has developed an intelligent and user-friendly control interface for use on board ships/vessels that will allow crew members on the bridge to quickly and easily access and control monitors with the use of a single trackball mouse. This was made possible by support from North West Regional College’s (NWRC) Business Support Centre (BSC) and InterTradeIreland’s Innovation Boost programme.

02 Sep: Lyons – ‘Skill Up’ to kickstart your career prospects

Economy Minister Gordon Lyons today launched Skill Up, a new initiative to deliver free training places, in an investment of up to £23million. Supported by the Northern Ireland Office, Skill Up will fully fund the local further education colleges and universities to deliver approximately 15,000 training places in over 250 subject areas for qualifications ranging from Level 2 up to Level 7.

18 Aug: NWRC Supports Retail Recovery Across NI

North West Regional College (NWRC) has joined forces with the five other Further Education Colleges in NI to support the recovery of the retail sector supported by the Department for the Economy’s ‘Retail Recovery’ programme. The programme will allow retailers to avail of training and support in a number of areas leading to accredited qualifications.

08 Jun: Braidwater and NWRC announces £100k R&D innovation project

North West Regional College’s (NWRC) Business Support Centre (BSC) has announced details of a new Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with the Braidwater Group. The 2-year project, funded by InnovateUK and Invest NI, is worth over £100k, and aims to see through the development of a novel software platform for the construction industry.

North West Regional College (NWRC) and South Eastern Regional College (SERC) are inviting graduates to sign up to a new 12-week intensive programme which will equip participants with digital marketing skills commencing on Monday 10th May with SERC and Monday 7th June with NWRC.
